Abstract
The basic principle, structures and the characteristics of the Electrical Transmission Driver(E. T. Driver) based on Automatic Mechanical Transmission(AMT) were introduced. How the E. T. Driver improved the gearshift quality during gearshift course and improved driving smoothness for Hybrid Electrical Vehicles(HEV) was discussed. A simulation model to analyze the gearshift application and gearshift strategy of E. T. Driver during gearshift course in HEV was established by using the simulation software of Germany ITI Company.
