Abstract
With the further development of the heavy oil of Liaohe Oilfield, conventional horizontal wells are difficult to meet the needs of increasing the sweeping volume of injected steam and single-well controlled reserves. In order to improve the development result of the heavy oil in the oilfield,on the basis of a lot of investigation in home and abroad, the multi-lateral well technology is applied to the development of the heavy oil according to the actual conditions of Liaohe Oilfield that its crude oil is super-heavy oil and its oil layers are thinner. Two types of multi-lateral wells are finished in Du-84 and Gao-3 blocks separately, and they all obtain better development results and economic benefit.
