The passions is the first principle inthe Confucius's theory on Benevolence. The relationship between reason and passions is themain topic of the theory on Benevolence. The reason is used to express the pass ion on the one hand;the passions is mediated by the reason on the other hand.The passions is presented as all forms ofthe proprieties.Confucius's assertionBenevolence is a reasoned universial passionsgets reason and passions toget her.Confucius set the direction of following confucianism's development.
