Abstract
At present, there is little mature solution to manage the spatial data in common relational database. In this paper, the technique of spatial database engine was used to extend the relational database and make it to be the unified storage and management platform for the business data and the spatial data.An emergency management system database model based on geodatabase was established and the structure of the system database was designed in this paper. As a result, the association of the spatial-data and the business data is solved and it is realized that the spatial-data and the business data are seamlessly integrated and are stored and managed uniformly. This method has been successfully implemented in emergency management information demonstration platform on the provincial level.
