Abstract
This paper, based on the assumption that the distribution of population of the people's income is logarithmic normal distribution, point out the relationship of Gini coefficient and the population parameter and give a moment estimated method to calculate the Gini coefficient. Using this method, you can calculate or estimate the Gini coefficient of the people's income based on the data of the people's income and the variance of the people's income. For the more, this paper introduce a method to calculate the Gini coefficient of of the people's income when the total population divided into tow sub-population and have the Gini coefficient, the number of people and the average income of each sub-population.This method does not relay on the investigate data and is much more easy to use.
