Abstract
The effect of additive content, solid content, rotational rate on slurry stability, thixotropy and viscosity were investigated by measuring relative sedimentation height and viscosity of silicon carbide aqueous slurry with different experimental conditions. The results present the viscosity of slurry decreased with rotational rate increased, increased with solid content increased, and take on obvious behavior of cling to time. The optimum amount of PAM is 0.08% and solid content at 62%,slurry have better stability and thixotropy.
