Abstract
A novel Brnsted acid ionic liquid was synthesized by using benzyl chloride,N-diethyl imidazole and sulfuric acid as materials.Its structure was characterized by IR and 1H NMR.Catalytic activity of the acidic ionic liquids for the esterification of acetic acid with ethanol was measured.The results show that the best reaction conditions are as follows:catalyst dosage 5%,reaction temperature 80℃ and reaction time 90 min.Under above conditions,the yield of ethyl acetate can reach 72.35%.The ionic liquid can be reused for more than four times without remarkable loss of catalytic activity.
