Abstract

Objective To analyze the value of X-ray and spiral CT in the diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis sacroiliac joint lesions. Methods The imaging data of 68 patients with ankylosing spondylitis sacroiliac joint lesions were reviewed and the X-ray and CT imaging features and diagnostic value were analyzed. Results The coincidence rates of the X-ray diagnosis classification and the CT diagnosis were 53.33%,36.59%,53.33%,84.62% and 90.91% respectively.X-ray was superior to CT in the detection rates of blurred articular surface and articular cartilage and bone erosion signs(P 0.01);X-ray and CT were not significantly different in the detection rates of articular cartilage and bone sclerosis, joint space narrowing or widening, and ankylosis signs(P 0.05).Conclusion X-ray can confirm the diagnosis of middle and advanced stages of the sacroiliac joint;spiral CT can assist the classification of the sacroiliac joint;patients with suspected sacroiliac joint lesions should reexamine the spiral CT.
