Abstract

Objective:To study the value of frusemide and captopril renal scintigraphy to screen patients with renovascular hypertension (RVH).Methods:Results of CRS and renal artery digital subtraction angiography (DSA) were retrospectively analyzed in 50 patients with clinically suspected renovascular hypertension. The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of frusemide and captopril renal scintigraphy for diagnosis of RVH were evaluated. Results:The general sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of CRS with frusemide to diagnose RVH were 77 8%,98 2% and 89% ,respectively. The sensitivities of CRS with frusemide to diagnose bilateral and unilateral RAS were 67 8% and 95 3%, respectively. Conclusion:CRS with frusemide is valuable for diagnosis of RVH.
