Abstract

The failure state of overburden strata will easily lead to collapse of sand and water inrush accident in mining.In order to ensure the safety mining operation of 8101 mining face of WoLonghu coal mine,numerical simulation models is established according to the strata engineering and geological features and the strata column in the mining area.Through the simulation of FLAC3D,the strata stress field and distribution figure of the strata plastic area was obtained when the coal mining face advanced forward in different distances.The results indicate that shearing failure zone was mainly occurred at the open-off cut and coal wall.The tensile failure zone was mainly occurred at the strata above the goaf and the height of water conducting fractured zone is 31m.
