Study on Establishment of Cemetery Town in the Western Han Dynasty

The cemetery town was once a special administrative region which located near the emperors tombs in Guanzhong in Shaanxi Province,built for protecting cemetery and sacrificing during the period from the Qin Dynasty to the Han Dynasty. In Western Han , there are seven cemetery town ,including five near the city of Xianyang.The establishment of cemetery town have their special political background and economic reasons. At the same time, the town’s establishment had a very profound influence on economy,education, academy and custom in Guanzhong.
