Research on the Application of Color Management in Digital Printing

The application of color management in digital printing was studied to improve the quality of digital printing.The profile documents of digital printing of two kinds of paper,including 128g/m2 coated paper and 128g/m2 matt coated paper,on HP indgo1050 digital printer were generated with Monaco and ProfileMaker software.Color separation and printing was made on the profile documents.The color and tone reproductions before and after color management were evaluated.The results showed that the quality of digital printing is improved obviously after color management,especially on matt coated paper.By using color management,the color gamut is wider than before;dot gain is reduced;tones reproduction become more precise.
