The Features of Liu Chenweng's Literary Criticism on Poetry

Liu Chenweng,a writer and critic living in the late Song dynasty and the early Yuan dynasty,commented on some essays of the pre-Qin and the Han dynasty as well as 48 poets of the Tang dynasty and five well-known poets of the Song dynasty.His literary criticism has become an important part of the classical criticism on these works and occupies a conspicuous place in the history of Chinese literary criticism.The paper gives an examination of his literary criticism on these works and summaries his features and principles.
