Abstract

Objective To explore the method for the treatment of periprosthetic femur fracture after hip replacement.Methods Clinical data of 11 patients who underwent reduction and internal fixation by the cable and plate system from 2000 to 2006 were analysed.Results Stable prosthesis,firm union of fractures and good gesture of walking were obtained in the 11 cases.Conclusion The cable and plate system is an effective method for treatment of periprosthetic femur fracture after hip replacement.
