Abstract

Butylglycosides were synthesized by the reaction of glucose and 1-butanol using the silicotungstic acid cerium as catalyst directly. The effects of alcohol/sugar molar ratio, temperature, catalyst ratio, and time on the glucose conversion were explored. The results showed that the optimal condition of reaction were as follows:with 3% catalyst quality of glucose in the reaction, the high yield was 96.81% at 120 ℃ for 2h of reaction time under a alcohol/sugar molar ratio of 5:1.The catalytic activities of different silicotungstic acid rare earth salts were compared. The effects of loading of catalysts active component on glucose conversion were surveyed using silicotungstic acid cerium and silicotungstic acid lanthanum supported on SiO2 as catalysts. The reused properties of the supported catalysts was researched also.
