Abstract
Many applications of Wireless Sensor Network(WSN) need clock of sensors nodes to be synchronized, but the traditional synchronization methods is unsuitable for WSN.This paper presents the problems faced when designing the time synchronization protocol. It reviews the existing clock synchronization protocols for WSN and the methods of estimating clock offset and clock drift in the most representative clock synchronization protocols for WSN.The future directions of research on time synchronization for WSN are forecasted.
