Realization of modbus ASCII protocol in serial communication based on LabVIEW

Abstract

Modbus protocol is a universal protocol,which is widely used in electronic controller.The controller can communicate with the network and other equipment through the modbus protocol.The protocol is used in the monitoring system because of its simpleness.This paper introduces features of Modbus communication protocol.The realization of serial communication between the upper monitor computer and the lower single chip based on LabVIEW software platform is presented in detail.
