Abstract
The activation of Janus kinase( JAK)/signal transducer and activator transcription( STAT) pathway,which plays an important role in tumorigenesis,is aberrantly in a variety of lymphomas.Recently,the JAK/STAT inhibitors are being considered for their potentials in the therapy for lymphoma.This review summarizes the progresses on the JAK/STAT signaling pathway in the pathogenesis of lymphoma development.The genomic alterations and the mutations of JAK kinase and STATs in different lymphoma subtypes are outlined.The effects of disregulated JAK/STAT signaling and the regulatory mechanisms in lymphomagenesis are discussed.The application of JAK/STAT inhibitors as a potential therapeutic approach for lymphoma treatment is prospected.
