Abstract
Objective:To investigate the correlation of MRI features with pathological grading in meningioma.Methods:MRI findings in 58 patients with meningioma,including 22 cases of grade Ⅰ,17 cases of grade Ⅱ and 19 cases of grade Ⅲ,were retrospectively analyzed.The tumor contour, signal homogeneity and intensity after contrast administration,the border and peritumoral edema were evaluated. The MRI features were compared with the pathological grading.Results:The tumor contour,the border between the tumor and the brain,the signal homogeneity after contrast administration and invasion of adjacent structures are related to the grading of meningioma, while peritumoral edema and signal intensity can't suggest malignant manner.Conclusion:Some of MRI features in meningioma play important roles in evaluating the grading of meningioma before operation and guiding therapy.
