Abstract

Objective To observe clinical manifestation and pathological change in mixed connective tissue disease(MCTD).Methods To analyze the clinical manifestation, laboratory examination and pathological change in 45 MCTD cases retrospectively. Results MCTD may present Raynaud phenomenon in 41 cases(91.1%),arthritis in 39 cases(86.7%),swelling of fingers in 32 cases(71.1%),fever in 21 cases(46.7%),multi-shaped rash in 21 cases(46.7 %),and anti-nuclear antibody(ANA) and ribonucleoprotein antibodies(RNP) were positive(100%).Renal pathological damage existed in all 10 patients without renal damage symptom, including 7 cases of mesangial proliferative,2 cases of membranous nephropathies, and one case of minor glomerular abnormality.Among them, the damage found in tubules was in 7 cases,in interstitial tissue(5 cases),in vascular tissues in(5 cases) and immunofluorescence positive(6 cases). Conclusion MCTD has distinct clinical manifestation, laboratory examination. It has subclinical renal damage.
