Abstract
Combined Social Network Theory and Resource-Based View, this paper tries to clarify the component of network capability and its effect on firm's innovation performance.Based on extant research of,this paper proposes that there are four types of network capability: network visioning capability, network constructing capability, network operating capability, and network orienting capability.A theoretical model of impact of network capability on firm's innovation performance is developed. An empirical study of the Structural Equation Modeling and multiple firms samples indicates that network capabilities have significant positive impact on firm's innovation performance.Knowledge transfer has partial mediating effect on the relationship between network capabilities and innovation performance. The results deepen the knowledge of the way the firm extracts value from infer-firm networks.
