Abstract
In order to elucidate the expression and regulation of c_kit protein in oogenesis from grasshoppers, the special expressions of c_kit protein in oogenesis by using immunohistochemistry and biostatistics have been studied by collecting Omocestus viridulus(Linnaeus),Euchorthippus unicolor(Ikonn.) and Euchorthippus vittatus Zheng in Siping area of Jilin Province,China. The results show that there are different expression levels of c -kit protein from the 1~ st to 6~ th stage in oogenesis but the positive granules gradually disappear with the following of vitellogenesis. The expressions of c -kit protein in oogenesis are significant differences among the three species grasshoppers. The data suggest that c -kit protein might play a crucial role in proliferation and differentiation as well as regulate differently developmental speed in oogenesis and even maintain species isolation etc.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
