Abstract
NC simulation is a key research subject of CAD/CAM, and at present it is mainly on geometrical simulation. For the development and maturity of the technology of geometrical simulation, physical simulation should be on the agenda for furthering the research of NC simulation. The paper describes the functions that a system of physical simulation should have, including seeing, hearing and feeling, and describes how to implement the physical simulation, by building respective databases of model of tools, clamps, material, roughness and precision, and random events. Difficulties are listed at the end of the paper, as well as the perspective of physical simulation of NC machining.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
