Qualitative and quantitative analysis is used to analyze the logistics demand state during the economic development of China's western Areas. On the base of the above it illustrates the significance and inevitability of developing the logistics in the western areas .Through discussing the significance constructing modern logistics city to the regional economic development . the thesis makes an exhaustive illustration of the requirement to constructing and planning the logistics center city. From the aspects ofgeographical position, unified traffic condition, the existing condition of logistics infrastructure and the present situation of the western areas, the thesis states the certainty and feasibility of Chengdu being developed into a logistics center city of China's western areas.
