Research on 68 Cases of Sudden Deafness Treated with Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine

Objective To discuss the therapeutic effect on sudden deafness treated with integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine.Methods 68 cases were divided into treatment group and control group.31 patients of the control group were given the therapy of improving inner ear microcirculation,hormone,dehydration,ect,while 35 patients of the treatment group were treated with integrat ed Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine,which included the Western Medicine mentioned above combined with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Xuan Fei Tong Qiao Decoction and Tong Qiao Huo XueDecoction.After 4,7,11,15 and 21 days of the treatment,audiomenrist was taken among all the patients to evaluate the therapeutic effects of the two treatments.Results The totle effective rates of the treatment and the control group were 91.42% and 74.19%(P 0.05) respectively,according to the sudden deafness classification criterion made by Chinese Medical Association of otolaryngology.Conclusion Traditional Chinese Medicine are accordant with Western Medicine on the etiology and pathogenesis of sudden deafness.The treatment with integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine has better therapeutic effect than that with Western Medicine alone.
