Abstract
Qiaoqi is the only Tibetan Autonomous Town of Baoxing County in Ya'an City which lies on the eastern border of Tibetan Area,and borders the districts of Han and Qiang.In the investigation,the author found that the belief of local people shows a complex situation of multiple levels and faiths which intertwine with one another.Not only the belief of Tibetan Buddhism coexists with the local folk belief,Taoism and other Chinese beliefs,but the various religions are compatible with each other without mutual exclusion,showing a very harmonious situation.This phenomenon is quite typical among cultural border areas.In this paper,the author tries to explore the belief and characteristics of the Qiaoqi Tibetan town preliminarily based on the field research.
