Abstract

It is necessary to set over-voltage protection,over-current protection,di/dt protection and du/dt protection circuit for thyristor in thyristor converter circuit to guarantee its normal operation.Certain protection measures have been set for thyristor in power electronic experimental device, and the thyristor is still often damaged. The reliability of the protectives and the causes of thyristor damage are analyzed.
