Abstract

Jiangling had been the metropolis of Jinnan military governor,the south capital of the Tang Dynasty and the capital of Jingnan during the Five Dynasties.It is very important for the politics,economy and military affairs during Tang Dynasty and Five Dynasties.This article analyses the city rampart,the districts,the downtown streets and the business condition of Jiangling City to discuss the construction and the change of the Changjang River middle reaches from the Tang Dynasty to the Five Dynasties.
