Abstract

The Hakka women are the typical embodiments of Hakka culture.They have been characterized in being diligent,liking learning culture,reasonable and just as well as actively participating in political affairs.Some scholars argued that the Hakka women used to be lower in social positions than the women in other clans.However,many historical documents and the real situations show that the Hakka women have been and are playing important roles in both family life and social life.
