Abstract
The concentrations of PAHs in PM2.5 and PM10 samples were analyzed via GC/MS. The results showed that there were serious PAH pollutions in the atmospheric aerosols of Beijing .The total amount of PAHs in PM10 and PM2.5 were 520.5±476.9ng.m-3 and 326.8±294.3ng.m-3 , respectively. PAHs that are four and more rings enriched in fine particulates were up to 87%. It is indicated by the characteristic ratio such as Fuloranthene /pyrene that the primary source of PAHs was the coal combustion, secondary did the gasoline. Simultaneously, PAHs concentrations of aerosol in the atmosphere were influenced by meteorological factors. For example, PAHs concentrations will decrease with a high wind speed or high exposed radiation.
