Liang Qichao's study of Qu Yuan and Chu Ci

Liang Qichao introduced the Chinese academic community to the bourgeois academic thoughts,and was also the pioneer of the new approach to studying Chu Ci in modern China.His work,The Study of Qu Yuan,for the first time borrowed the western bourgeois views of literature and art to study Quan Yuan and his works from the perspective of pure literature and the literary history.Compared with the traditional study which had been prevalent since the Han dynasty,this work was truly original.Liang's another accomplished work How To Understand And Read The Classic Works: Chu Ci,discussed in a well-organized and concise way how to understand Chu Ci and how to say the words in it.Liang's works,opening up a new era,are an important milestone in the research history of Quan Yuan and Chu Ci.
