Abstract
Due to No.11041 coal mining face was a coal mining face with coal and gas outburst danger in potential, the outburst prevention measures were conducted with the seam gas pre-drainage with boreholes applied in the seam of the coal mining face. The gas drainage borehole quantity per ton of coal was 0.16m/t,the gas pre-drainage rate reached at 34.72% and the residual gas content in the seam before the mining operation would be obviously lower than the critical value. The single item index method, the comprehensive index method, the residual gas content method, the gas drainage borehole quantity per tone of coal and the seam gas pre-drainage rate were applied to the evaluation of the outburst danger before the coal mining face operated. The conclusion of the evaluation that there would be no outburst danger in the coal mining face Therefore the conclusion could provide the important scientific basis to set up the safety technical measures for the coal mining process of the coal mining face.
