Abstract
Based on the study of historical development process of Wuhan urban agglomeration, the paper divides the evolution process into 5 stages and promulgates the evolution rules of the region's spatial structure. The research also argues that the inevitable trend of the region's spatial structure is the balanced network and ascertains the economic development, traffic inducement and the policy orientation are the main dynamic factors.
