Study on Constructing Regional Logistics Network of Provincial Border-regions A Case of the Huaihai Economic Region

The construction of regional logistics network is the fundamental requirement of shaping more firm and balanced space structure and of increasing the cohesive power in a region. As an important component of the network system, city knots shouldn't be restricted within the continuity of administrative areas, but should be built in the cities of developed economies instead. By selecting 15 indexes and using the methods of principal component analysis and the cluster analysis, this paper calculates regional logistics comprehensive strength index evaluations system of 20 cities in the Huaihai economic region, one of the typical provincial border-regions in China. According to the analysis, we bring up the logistics center hub-and-spoke networks spatial frame: Regard Jining, Xuzhou and Linyi as regional logistics centers; Taian, Yancheng, Zaozhuang, Huaian and Lianyungang as the second regional logistics centers, the other 12 cities as the supporting cities.
