Abstract
This paper discussed the principle and basis according to the characteristics of the concrete slab dams and the available monitoring findings.Aiming at the measured behavior of the slab,it's stressed that some aspects should be considered as the monitoring points of the important monitoring items were arranged.It still introduced the application of the main monitoring instruments and new monitoring technology development.
