Abstract
The control and elimination of oncomelania snail are ones of the most important measures to control schistosomiasis epidemic. Hubei snails, the only intermediate host of schistosoma japonicum, its' growth, development and distribution are influenced by various environmental factors. Identifying and intervening these factors may change the survival, reproduction and distribution of the snail, which contributes to the goal of effective control of oncomelania snail. This paper introduced the temperature, soil, vegetation, hydrology and other major environmental factors affecting snail ecology.
