Abstract
Repair of cartilage defects remains one of the most challenging tasks in clinical. With the development of tissue engineering cartilage in recent years, which provides a promising alternative to solve this difficult problem, tissue engineering cartilage is a three-dimensional space composed by seeding cells, scaffolds and growth factors. However,it's difficult to choose appropriate seed cells because different cells' proliferation and differentiation capacity is quite different.Seed cells play an important role in the construction of tissue engineering cartilage. Therefore,it's important to investigate the sources of seed cells for the development of tissue engineering cartilage.
