Abstract
With the development of XML and Internet technology, how to convert non-structured files into well-formed XML ones is becoming more important than e ver before. This paper presents a new method for XML document conversion based o n document tree. It describes the logical structure and content of text files by automatically extracting document tree. Then it traverses document trees with t he defined mapping rules. By this way, it realizes the conversion. In addition, it introduces related algorithms for the document tree.
