A Scheme of Flat Transition from GSM to IMT-2000

Abstract

In this paper,a guideline following during the transition of GSM to IMT-2000 is put forward, and followed by an introduction of an enhanced network based on current GSM: GPRS ; then the author analyses several transition methods of GPRS, and draws the conclusion that the technology of GPRS could improve the data transition rate and the radio resource efficiency.
