Abstract
EPON combines the advantages of PON and Ethernet. With its features of high bandwidth, low cost, easy use and update, EPON has become one of the optimal solutions for broadband access network. In this paper, a supporting queue priority allocation algorithm based on the IPCAT algorithm is proposed, and its performance based on the Pareto distribution is evaluated. This algorithm can meet the service QoS, increase the throughout of the bandwidth, and ensures the fairness of the bandwidth allocation.
