The Clinical Application of Narrow-band Ultraviolet B in Skin Diseases

Abstract

Ultraviolet therapy is an important way for treating skin disease,in which narrow-band ultraviolet B(NB-UVB)has particularly curative effect on some skin diseases,such as psoriasis,vitiligo,atopic dermatitis,mycosis fungoides,pruritus and other refractory skin diseases.In this paper,the biological effects of NB-UVB and its application in the treatment of skin diseases are summarized,we also reviewed the curative mechanisms of NB-UVB for the above-mentioned diseases.
