Abstract
Combining the concept of weights with singular blending technique, we generalize the Bezier curve and denote the generalized Bezier curve as a-Bezier curve, whose shape-control capability is much better than that of Bezier curve; thus the a -Bezier curve is more useful in free curve and surface designing. The base representation of a -Bezier curve is stdudied. Varying the blending parameters reshape the curve, so it is very hopeful in the applications of CAD/CAM.
