Abstract
OBJECTIVE To study the flavonoids of Senecio dianthus Franch..METHODS The compounds were isolated and purified by chromatographic methods and the structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods.RESULTS Six compounds were isolated,and their structures were identified as quercetin,quercetin-3-O-β-D-glucoside,kaempferol,kaempferol-3-O-β-D-glucoside,kaempferol-3-O-α-L-rhamnosidi-(1→6)-O-β-D-glucoside and ethyl caffeate.CONCLUSION All compounds were isolated from this plant for the first time.
