Abstract
Seven insecticides were tried to evaluate their control of Pieris rapae L. in the field. The results showed the 0.5% abamectin EC(1.8 kg/ha),2.5% beta-cyfluthrin SL(0.375 kg/ha),4.5% cypermethrin EC (0.75 kg/ha),40% chlorpyrifos EC(1.05 kg/ha),and 40% phoxim EC(0.9 kg/ha)were better in controlling Pieris rapae L. with their control efficacies being higher than 81.68% at 3d and 84.38% at 7d after treatment. Their effect lasted for about 7-10 days. They can be used by turns or mixed for use in controlling the pest.
