Abstract
Objective To determine the efficacy of 2.5% imidacloprid bait against cockroaches in lab and field. Methods Having experiment in lab and having field experiment. Results After the experiment for four days, the cockroaches were all dead.In the field experiment, the cockroaches were all dead for five days. The LT50 were 1.26 and 1.74 days. Before the experiment, the density of cockroaches were 17.25 pieces for every 15 minutes. After applying the bait for 1,2,5 and 10 days, the mortality were 69.1%,81.82%,92.73% and 100%.At the first five days, the dead cockroaches reached the highest level, occupying 94.32% of the whole dead cockroaches. Conclusion 2.5% imidacloprid could control cockroaches effectively and should be generalized.
