The Influence of Lentinan United Calcium Disodium Edetate on Learning and Memory,NO,nNOS in Hippocampus of Lead Poisoning Mice

Abstract

The 50 mice were randomly divided into five groups,blank group,negative control group,positive control group,lentinan low dose group and high dose group.Morris water maz was used to monitor the learning and memory ability.The lead concentrations of blood were measured by electric potential stripping method.In the mean time,The content of NO was tested by nitrate reductase method.The expression of nNOS positive cells were observed with immunohistochemistry.The results indicated that compared with that of negative control group,the learning and memory ability of lead poisoning mice could be markedly improved by lentinan high dose group lentinan high dose group,and the lead concentrations of blood could be significantly decreased(P0.01).The hippocampal intracellular NO content was obviously increased(P0.01).The nNOS positive cells of hippecarnpus were increased CA1(P0.05),CA3(P0.01).Lentinan and calcium disodium edetate could improve the learning and memory on lead poisoning mice.The mechanism may be related with increasing NO content and the expression of nNOS positive cells in hippoeampus.
