Abstract
The effect of addition of varied contents of AZ31 magnesium Alloy in liquid zinc on microstructures and Erichsen number of hot-galvanizing coating of IF steel was investigated. The results showed that the microstructure of the coating is prismatic structure and the Erichsen number is small when magnesium content is less than 1%(mass%).With the increasing of magnesium content and the alloying of the coating, the densification and the adhesiveness of the coating are improved and the Erichsen number grows. When magnesium content is more than 3.5%(mass%),the viscosity of the liquid zinc is obviously increased. So,the best magnesium content is 3.0%(mass%).
