Abstract

Objective To investigate the risk factors for post-stroke depressive disorder after acute ischemic stroke. Methods 145 patients with dementia after ischemic stroke were enrolled from Jan 2009 to May 2011, the risk factors for PSD were analyzed. Results The incidence for PSD was 35.86%, and most were mild and moderate depression. Gender, education, DNF Score and ADL score were the risk factors for PSD. Results The incidence for PSD was 35.86%, and most were mild and moderate depression. Gender, education, DNF score and ADL score were the risk factors for PSD(P0.05). Conclusion The incidence of PSD for patients with dementia after ischemic stroke was high, which has a close correlation with many factors. The high attention should be paid to the stroke patients with high risk factors depression, in order to decrease the incidence of PSD and avoid the relative factors for the PSD.
