Abstract
The complex solid Ti(SO4)/SiO2 was prepared by load method.A cetane number improver, diisopentyl oxalate, was synthesized with Ti(SO4)2/SiO2 as a catalyst. The reaction conditions were studied. The optimun conditions were as follows: surpported Ti(SO4)2/20% , and the mass ratio of catalyst to reactants was 5% , molar ration of acid to alcohol was 1/2.8,The reaction time was 1.5 hours. The rate of esterification was 97.4% .The catalyst can be reused directly for many times without any treatment, and has good catalyzer stabilization and selectivity, and friendly to environment.
