Abstract

A PCR assay for the rapid and sensitive detection of serine protease gene of Aeromonas hydrophila was developed. The PCR primer based on the serine protease gene of Aeromonas hydrophila which could extend a 893 bp PCR product. The PCR method could detect 2 0×10 -3 g/L DNA.These results demostrated that the PCR method is a highly sensitive diagnositic tool for the detection of serine protease gene from Aeromonas hydrophila and can be used for fast diagnosis and epidemic survey.
